We're at Niagara Falls!

Initially, I said we were "in" Niagara Falls but that would be in incorrect. We actually hadn't ridden over the falls in a barrel like an old school teacher in the 1800s, nor had we survived like an eight year old who went over the falls in 1960 wearing only his life-preserver and his bathing suit.

We rode on a famous boat ride called The Maid of the Mist, and I expected a huge long line and a long wait, but it wasn't too bad. They provided the rain coats - very thin - but they're only used to keep you dry, not warm. And then the boat took us by the rocky falls first and then the big falls. We got less than a hundred yards away from the falls and we got soaked - both upper and lower decks. All of these pictures were taken by Addy's mom, my wife, Karen, except for the one in which Karen and Addy are visible. I didn't manage to screw that one up.

This picture of the falls that Karen took is about as close as we got. I estimated 100 yards, but it was hard to see in the mist. Plus my glasses kept getting wet too, so I had to take those off and trying to look again.

It was a beautiful day and we all had fun, even on the uneventful jaunt down a steep, unmarked dirt path when we took a wrong turn getting to the parking lot.
