Here comes Dolly!

"Two + one = ..... uh... three?"

(YES! You've just won a million dollars!)
"OMG REALLY?"
(NO!)
>:(
One more dog can't hurt.. right? Lets hope not! We got a Dolly, a dark golden retriever foster puppy, a couple days ago. All she does is play with Izzy (and not always in a nice way!). Its hard to keep them apart! Dolly is 1 years old and full of energy. She acts like Izzy when she was young.

A historic moment for both us and the dogs!

So the dogs had a historic moment today but before I tell you about that I have to tell you that we got a foster puppy from the Golden Retriever Rescue Foundation. Her name is Dolly. We will keep Dolly for 2 weeks then she will go up on the roster which means that she is eligible to be adopted after one week and 6 days (that counts yesterday cause that is when we got her). Dolly is really dark (EVEN DARKER THEN KELSEY! [I hope you remember Kelsey!]). She just got fixed.

Anyways Dolly started barking because she heard something so all the dogs went to the window and I guess they saw a squirrel (we think that its a squirrel... It doesn't have much of a tail though so we don't know). So I let them out and they chased it. With the help of Dolly they cornered it into the weaving poles. Then Riley picked it up and dropped it down about 8 feet away from where it had originally been. Thats when I ran to go wake up Dad from his nap. From there he had to kill it with a shovel, bag it up, and throw it away. It was sooooo gross! (sorry if I put a bad image into your head!)

So if there is one, we need to mark this historical day into the Golden Retriever History books: When Dog gets a Taste of Squirrel.

Access Broadway - April 23, 2010

Addy scored huge in this competition on Friday. All the routines come with a medal: Gold, High Gold, or Platinum based on the child's performance. Addy's comedy routine was a high gold.

Here it is: "Please, not Grandma's House."

Her singing routines, "You're So Vain" by Carly Simon and "Fireflies" by Owl City will be loaded on tomorrow.   She scored Platinum on both of those songs and got 2nd place in the whole category for "You're So Vain" and 1st place for "Fireflies".

Here is Addy's 2nd place performance of "You're So Vain":

We are immensely proud of her.  She was pretty excited about it too, but was ready to go home by the time the medal ceremony was done at 12:00ish.

NASA downlink thing!

Hey peoples who are reading this! Today during school we went to a big thing at Athens high school called NASA downlink where preselected students from Leonard, Smith, and Athens get to ask astronauts up in the international space station right now their questions. I wasn't one of the students who got to ask a question. (You had to turn a piece of paper in with your question on it but i just couldn't think of anything!) After the students asked their questions we go with our groups to these staions in Athen's gym and we do what they want us to do at the stations. It was really fun. That's all for now. Bye!
